Cinnamon Sugar Dough~Knots

This is a great little recipe that you can let your kids make for a quick sweet snack. Being another snowy day here, it would be a great project! They are actually pretty yummy, and didn't last too long. Very easy for little ones!

I didn't do a full tutorial on this recipe, but here are the steps once you have taken opened the package and separated into pieces.

Roll into a rope, and form into different little knots. Here are some we made:

Here is what they look like after you bake them.

Dip the cooked knots in melted butter.

And then in cinnamon sugar.

This is what they will look like after you've rolled them in butter and sugar.

Finished product after broiling for 2-3 minutes. They won't last long!

Cinnamon Sugar Dough-Knots recipe

makes 12
1 can (11 ounces) ready to bake crescent rolls
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon melted butter
Roll each crescent roll into a 12-in. rope and tie into a knot. Make sure to tuck ends under knot. Place rolls on a baking sheet, bake at 375 F for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. In a large bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon well. Brush the warm crescent knots with the melted butter and toss the knots in the sugar mixture. Then place back on the baking sheet and place in the oven under a HI broiler for 2 minutes to melt the sugar.

(I used the LO broiler, and didn't dare go too far, as the sugar will burn very quickly!)
